This is JCGC Pld Tatonka 732T (registration #637416) we
purchased him to breed our replacement heifers to that are out of JCGC Pld
Pistol 412P. We purchased him from Jo Colmore in Rising Fawn Georgia at his Song
of the South Production Sale III in March 2008. He was a 14 month old yearling
bull at the time of the sale. He was the third highest selling bull in the sale.
He has a 17.1 inch ribeye area, has a 35 cm scrotal circumference, and gained
4.13 pounds per day on 104 day test. He weighed 82 pounds at birth, weaned at
205 days off mother's milk and grass at 777 pounds, and had an actual yearling
weight of 1340 pounds. This bull is polled and homozygous black. Tatonka
is a + 15 on milk. Tatonka is in the top 1% for weaning weight and top 1% for yearling
weight, top 1% carcass weight, top 5% maternal weaning weight, top 10% rib eye
area, and top 15% retail yield percentage, in the Salers breed. Tatonka's actual rump fat was 0.16, his actual rib fat was 0.27, his
