DSC Pld Ellie 14R This is Mr. Claiborne’s son, Seth's Heifer. She is out of a very heavy milking Brangus cow and a Registered black Gelbvieh bull. She was born December 18, 2005. She weighed 80 pounds at birth, weaned at eight months old at 975 pounds; her yearling weight was nearly 1200 pounds. She will be a very heavy milker and should be an easy keeper just like her mother. We have retained her of course as a replacement heifer in our herd. We expect great things out of this young and very promising heifer. Ellie was bred March 18, 2007 to GGT P Blk Ransom 152R owned by Brad Smith in Jamestown TN. GGT P Blk Ransom is a homozygous black smooth polled son of GGT Heavy Duty with a birth weight of 69 pounds, 205 weaning weight of 873 off mother’s milk and grass, and weighed 1310 at 11 months old.
